Learning to feel nothing, nothing at all

Wouldn't it be nice if there was someone, just someone, who would always be there for you no matter what? Someone who would never leave? Someone who's shoulder would be there, ready, whenever you need it? And no matter what happens, or how terribly wrong things could get, you won't have to worry, because he/she would always be there for you under any circumstances, protecting you?
