F1 work week: Amber Lounge

So it's finally over. Very thankful that this year's experience was much better and more organized compared to the previous one's! Humbled as well to have been given the opportunity to represent Amber Lounge once more.

It has been a lovely nine years (and counting) of friendship and I still can't believe how in-sync we were regarding the colour code despite the birthday girl only mentioning "the theme is coachella." Yes, we all wore white tops coincidentally without any of us discussing it at all.

It was quite weird yet pleasing at the same time that we all only realized how much we've missed each others' presence upon identifying the fact that we haven't seen each other in about two years. Amidst everyone's busy schedules, I think a monthly meet-up should be set in place. Team Ngee Ann volleyball, always.

1/2 of September

The first half of this month has been all about work. My weeks have been nothing but packed but all this definitely beats sitting in an office from 9am-6pm in front of a computer. Day jobs suck, literally. (They suck the life out of you.) How do people even DAY JOB anyway? Lessons on how to be competent on a daily basis, please?

(Incase it still isn't obvious enough, I finally resigned from my boring-ass day job. Good riddance.)

Moving on,

Other than working, I've been experimenting on an increased variety of vegan food so here are a few pictures of the stuff that I've whipped up so far:

And yes, they really do NOT contain meat, fish, dairy, milk or animal products of any sort at all! I've really never been happier. My life is really nothing much but that's how the first half of my month has been anyway. With more work scheduled for me, it's going to be a busy second half of the month but I am excited nonetheless.

I can't wait for everything to finally settle down.

Despite the hassle of having to prepare my own vegan meals, I am pleased that transitioning from pescetarianism to eating as ethically (environmentally and animal-friendly-wise) as I possibly can took much less effort than expected. It wasn't easy but it definitely wasn't overwhelmingly difficult either and albeit rather slowly, I have gotten there. I hope I stay.

On another note, I really need a camera. Ugh.
